Apple debuts iPhone 16e
HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Apple officially announced a new iPhone model, just months after the release of the iPhone 16.
The new model, called iPhone 16e, is the newest member of the iPhone 16 family.
It is the final phone of the iPhone 16 lineup.
Apple praises the new product as an improved version of its predecessor starting at a budget-friendly cost of $599.
The new smartphone includes Face ID, breakthough battery life, a 2-in-1 camera system and Apple Intelligence.
iPhone 16e also debuts Apple's first cellular modem called "C1".
Lucy Browning, iPhone Product Design Director, says the iPhone 16e is protected by ceramic shield with a durable aerospace-grade aluminum design.
When outside of cellular and Wi-Fi coverage, iPhone users will be able to stay connected with Apple’s satellite features including Emergency SOS, Roadside Assistance, Messages, and Find My.
The new model will be available in matte black and white with storage capacities ranging from 128 to 512 GB.
iPhone 16e will be available to pre-order February 21 with in-store availability on February 28.
