One arrested after deadly assault in SW Oklahoma City
OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - One person has been taken into custody after an assault in Southwest Oklahoma City on February 17, police say.
According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, officers responded to a parking lot near SW 29th St. and May Ave. around 2:30 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 17. Upon arrival, they found the victim, 38-year-old Alisha Spencer, who had been assaulted.
Investigators learned the name of the suspect, 38-year-old Julian Rodriguez, and arrested him at a motel in the 4300 block of W. Reno Ave. He was booked on complaints of domestic assault.
Officials say Spencer was hospitalized and later died from her injuries on March 4. Rodriguez stayed in jail and his charge has been changed to Murder in the First Degree.
