1 million Toyota, Lexus, and Subaru vehicles recalled: Here's why
(WHTM) – The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that over a million Toyota, Lexus, and Subaru Solterra vehicles have been recalled.
According to the NHTSA, Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing is recalling certain 2022-2026 Toyota, Lexus, and Subaru Solterra vehicles that are equipped with a Panoramic View Monitor (PVM) system.
The rearview cameras can freeze or show a blank screen when the impacted vehicles are in reverse because of a software error, the NHTSA explains. This not only increases the risk of a crash but also puts the vehicles out of compliance with federal safety requirements.
In total, there are 1,024,407 vehicles included in the recall, and all are expected to have the defect.

How to check your vehicle for recalls
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said that you can check to see if your vehicle has any recalls by using its website.
Once you are on the website, you can type in the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) to see if it has been impacted by a recall within the last 15 calendar years.
