John Bass, the Deputy Secretary of the United States Department of State, is traveling to Qatar and Pakistan to support Afghanistan and engage in discussions about the country.
The US Department of State recently announced that John Bass will visit Qatar and Pakistan from April 26 to April 30.
In a press release, the department added that John Bass will meet with senior officials of the Qatari government and the diplomatic community to discuss support for Afghanistan and common security interests in the region.
The purpose of this American official’s visit to Pakistan is also stated to be discussions on Afghanistan and regional issues.
It is worth noting that John Bass served as the US Ambassador to Afghanistan during the Republican administration.
