WICHITA (KSNT) - Kansas is home to the 16th richest man on the Forbes 400 Richest People in America list, Charles Koch. This is how much money Koch makes each second.
Koch has been the chairman and CEO of Koch Industries, America's second-largest private company by revenue, since 1967. Koch Industries has some $125 billion in revenue from businesses including pipelines, chemicals, software, automotive components and Dixie cups, according to Forbes.
In 1983, Charles and David Koch bought their other two brothers' stake in Koch Industries reportedly for almost $800 million. Charles owns a 42% stake in Koch Industries. His brother David, who died in August 2019, also owned a 42% stake in the firm.
As of Jan 25, 2024, Charles and family have a net worth of $53.2 billion. This places Charles in the 25th spot for the richest individuals on earth, according to Forbes.
