If you’ve been holding off on upgrading your noise-cancelling headphones, now might be the time. The Bose QuietComfort Bluetooth Headphones are currently down to $199 from their usual $349, which is the lowest they’ve gone, according to price trackers. At this price, you’re getting Bose’s active noise cancellation in a design that folds inward and packs away neatly. That matters more than you think—some newer headphones, like Sony’s WH-1000XM5 (currently $298 from its usual $399 for Prime Day) or the AirPods Max, don’t fold at all and take up more space in your bag. The QuietComfort’s foldable design and zip-up hard case, by contrast, are compact and travel-ready.
Comfort and ANC performance are about what you’d expect from Bose, which is to say: excellent. You get strong low-end rumble, clear highs, and the kind of clean midrange that doesn’t fight for attention, notes this PCMag review. Audio feels more natural than the older QC 45s, and you can still tweak EQ in the app if you want extra bass or brighter treble. Battery life is rated at 24 hours. There’s no option to turn off ANC or Aware mode completely, but you can cycle between them using the Action button on the left earcup. If you long-press that button, it’ll launch Spotify Tap, which resumes your last playlist without needing to pull out your phone.
Controls are mostly physical and intuitive. On the right earcup, there’s a three-button layout for playback and volume. They also support multipoint pairing, letting you stay connected to two devices at the same time, but you’ll have to enable the feature manually in the Bose Music app. Codec support is basic, limited to AAC and SBC, so this won’t be a favorite for wireless audiophiles. But for everyday listening, Zoom calls, and noisy commutes, the experience holds up well. If all you’re looking for in your over-ear headphones is reliable ANC, solid sound, and something that won’t take up half your backpack space, this deal is worth considering.
