Ohio Pro-Life Group: “J.D. Vance is a Strong Fighter for the Pro-Life Movement”
A leading pro-life group in Ohio which knows Republican Vice-Presidential nominee J.D. Vance well says he is a strong pro-life advocate.
Ohio Right to Life informed LifeNews.com today that it was honored to have three delegates (Chairman Marshal Pitchford, Board member Emily Moreno Miller, and President Mike Gonidakis) cast votes nominating votes for Vance.
Emily Moreno Miller said, “Senator Vance is a strong fighter for Ohio families and the pro-life movement. Please join us in praying for Senator Vance and his family as they assume this new role.”
“JD Vance understands and cares about the issue of life at a deep level,” Peter Range, CEO of Ohio Right to Life added. “He understands what ills America’s core at this moment, and we believe he is a great choice by former President Donald Trump to be our next Vice President. May the Lord bless and protect JD and his family in this next chapter on their journey.”
The newly nominated candidate for Vice President was born and raised in Middletown, Ohio. He served our country in the Marines from 2003 to 2007 including serving our nation in Iraq.

He is a 2009 graduate of The Ohio State University and in 2013 graduated from Yale Law School. On June 28, 2016, Senator Vance published his memoir, Hillbilly Elegy.
“Ohio Right to Life was pleased to endorse Senator Vance during his run for the United States Senate in 2022 and is looking forward to working with one of our own to advance the right to life,” the group said.
The group joins several other pro-life organizations that certified Vance is strongly pro-life.
Trump selected pro-life Ohio Senator J.D. Vance as his running mate for the 2024 presidential election.
“After lengthy deliberation and thought, and considering the tremendous talents of many others, I have decided that the person best suited to assume the position of Vice President of the United States is Senator J.D. Vance of the Great State of Ohio,” Trump said.
Trump said Vance “will be strongly focused on the people he fought so brilliantly for, the American Workers and Farmers in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Minnesota, and far beyond.”
“When I made this decision, I knew it had to be someone who could step in and serve as your Commander-in-Chief,” Trump continued.
Vance has a solid 100% pro-life voting record as a senator from the Buckeye State and has frequently spoken out in favor of the pro-life cause. But recent comments he made supporting the abortion pill have caused him to fall out of favor with pro-life Americans.
Before his recent controversial comments, Vance had been solidly in the pro-life camp — urging people late last year to keep fighting to save babies from abortions.
“Giving up on the unborn is not an option. It’s politically dumb and morally repugnant. Instead, we need to understand why we lost this battle so we can win the war,” he said.
