Andrew Tate ‘texted woman “I love raping you” after violent assault’
Andrew Tate texted a woman ‘I love raping you’ after violently assaulting her in 2013, according to a new documentary.
The controversial social media influencer, who currently faces rape and human trafficking charges in Romania, is separately accused of rape by four women in the UK.
Two of the women shared fresh details of their allegations, which Tate strongly denies, in a new BBC Panorama programme.
One of the women, given the pseudonym Anna, said Tate attacked her when she went to his house in Luton after a few dates.
She told the programme: ‘He started kissing me… and he just looked up at the ceiling and said, “I’m just debating whether I should rape you or not”.
‘Out of the blue he just grabbed me by the throat, smashed me to the back of the bed, strangling me extremely hard.’
Anna claims the 37-year-old then raped her, and later sent her disturbing text messages.
One of the messages, seen by BBC Panorama, said: ‘And I love raping you. And watching u let me while still debating if its a good idea or not.
‘I like the conflict you have. And you do have it. Don’t deny it.’
Another message read: ‘Are you seriously so offended I strangled you a little bit?’
A third read: ‘Am I a bad person? Because the more you didn’t like it, the more I enjoyed it.’
A second woman, given the name Sienna, said she met Tate 10 years ago in Luton and had what started as a ‘standard one-night stand’ but which turned violent.
She told the BBC: ‘We went to my bedroom… and we started having sex. That was when he put his hands around my throat.’
Sienna claims she fell unconscious, and that when she came around Tate was raping her.
‘I was absolutely terrified. I just remember gasping for air… It was rape.’
She says she later noticed the whites of one of her eyes had ‘gone completely red’.
The BBC says it verified the injury claims with a friend of Sienna’s who said the victim shared her experience at the time and that he saw the injury.
A third woman accused Andrew’s brother Tristan of putting his hands around her throat and raping her after she broke up with him.
She claims he convinced her to come from the UK to Romania to work for the brothers’ webcam business and that she decided to end the relationship a few days after arriving.
The BBC said it put the allegations to Tristan but that he did not comment.
Anna was one of three women who contacted police about their allegations against Andrew Tate, herself telling detectives in 2014.
Five years later a file was sent to the Crown Prosecution Service but it decided there was not a realistic prospect of conviction based on the evidence found by police.
Sienna did not go to the police but said she regretted this decision.
Andrew Tate’s four accusers in the UK are bringing a civil case against him at the High Court.
In an interview last year, Andrew Tate denied ever having raped a woman or strangled a woman without her consent.
‘I know I’ve never hurt anybody. It’s not in my nature to hurt people,’ he said.
In relation to the High Court case, a representative for the Tate brothers previously said they ‘unequivocally deny all allegations’ and were ‘fully committed to challenging these accusations with unwavering determination and resolve’.
