President Donald Trump has restored his famed Diet Coke button to the Oval Office to easily order his favorite drink at his heart’s content.

The red button inside a wooden box was already on the Resolute Desk by mid-afternoon on Inauguration Day waiting for Trump, reported The Wall Street Journal.

Hours later, the button was pictured on the right side of the desk as Trump signed a pile of executive orders upon his return to the office.

Before going to the Oval Office, Trumpremarked on its importance during his inaugural parade at the Capital One Arena. The oval-shaped room within the White House is where US presidents meet with their counterparts from foreign nations and meet with congressional leaders.

‘We’re going to be going over to the beautiful Oval Office, one of the great offices in history, even if it wasn’t beautiful, it’s the Oval Office, but it is beautiful, and we love the Oval Office,’ he said.

‘Wars start and end there. Everything starts and ends at the Oval Office.’

Trump’s Diet Coke button debuted during his first administration, and despite reports that he has made some adjustments for a healthier diet, he continues to love the Coca-Cola soft drink.

His continued affinity for it was evident in the days before he was sworn in. He accepted a presidential commemorative inaugural bottle of Diet Coke from Coca-Cola Chairman and CEO James Quincey and smiled widely.

Trump also appeared to be sipping Diet Coke from a gold-rimmed glass during the inaugural luncheon, and doing cheers with it with Vice President JD Vance and others around him who were holding champagne glasses.

Beside the Diet Coke button, Trump brought back some other items to their previous places in the office, including a portrait of the country’s first president, George Washington, over the fireplace.

A bust of former UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill, which ex-President Joe Biden had removed while he served, was reinstated in its exact place on a table next to the fireplace.

A new addition to the Oval Office were silver eagles on a mantel over the fireplace.
