Search for three men last seen at Soho flat where pioneering drag queen was found dead
Police have released footage of three people they urgently want to speak to after a ‘legendary’ drag queen was found dead in Soho.
Heklina, whose real name was Steven Grygelko, 55, was found on April 3 2023 by her friend and tour partner Peaches Christ.
Investigators are still looking to find out what happened to Steven, who was in London touring with their stage production.
No official cause of death has been released for the performer, originally from the US.
Detective Chief Inspector Dean Purvis, from the Central West Command Unit, said: ‘Our thoughts are with Steven’s family and friends who still have a lot of unanswered questions about what happened to him.
‘We know that the three men in the CCTV images were at the flat in the early hours of 3 April 2023.
‘I am asking them to contact police. We need to establish what happened, and how Steven was when they left.
