‘The Punisher’ who survived prison beating, 3 assaults, 12 fire bombs and 7 shootings dies
The sister of a notorious kickboxer nicknamed The Punisher has vowed to get revenge after he was shot to death in an underground car park.
Sam Abdulrahim was walking back to his Porsche with his girlfriend at the Preston Quest Hotel, Melbourne, yesterday, when he was murdered.
It is believed that he had amassed multiple enemies over the years and was living in hiding after being the target of seven shootings, several fire bombings, and three assaults.
A man at the scene said that he had warned Abdulrahim not to break cover. He told Daily Mail Australia: ‘He wasn’t scared, he wasn’t scared of anything. He always said “when my time comes, my time comes”.’
His sister, Ektimal, has now vowed revenge for his death saying: ‘Whoever shot my brother to death, I’m after u mother f***er. I know it’s u dog. Never ends here.’
Abdulrahim was in a relationship with Married at First Sight star Jessika Power who says she has been left broken by the news.
The pair dated in 2019, shortly after a release from prison, where he was serving time over a deadly high-speed crash which resulted in the death of an 88-year-old woman four years earlier.
Shortly after Abdulrahim’s death, loved ones gathered at the scene to pay their respects.
Police also believe a car fire close by to the area in Reservoir is linked to the crime.
The white Porsche SUV that was found burnt out is believed to be the getaway car that was used.
Abdulrahim has been targeted multiple times in the past and has miraculously survived on each occasion.
One of his relatives was held at gunpoint late last year and released in exchange for $150,0000 at the time.
Abdulrahim was previously attacked with a rock on his first day in prison on July 3, 2019.
He was also shot at eight times after he left a cemetery following his cousin’s funeral in June 2022.
In February last year, a venue which was set to hold a boxing match that Abdulrahim was meant to attend was burned down.
Abdulrahim was lured out of his home in May last year and his parents cars were set on fire.
A second group of shooters then laid in wait and fired at him 17 times but missed.
The gunmen returned weeks later and shot at the house again but this time Abdulrahim was not inside.
Victoria Police said in a statement: ‘Emergency services were called to reports a man had been shot in a car park on High Street in Preston shortly after 10.30am on Tuesday, January 28.
‘The man, who is yet to be formally identified, died at the scene. Police have cordoned off the area and a crime scene is in place.
‘At this early stage, police believe the incident was targeted.’
