Popular cereal urgently recalled over fears it may contain insects
A breakfast cereal has been pulled from supermarket shelves and issued with a ‘do not eat’ warning over fears it contains insects.
Rude Health’s Chocolate Crunch Granola has been urgently recalled, according to the Food Standard Agency (FSA).
An alert, posted on the FSA website, says the cereal may be ‘infested with insects’.
Boxes that could be contaminated have a best before date of October 24, 2025.
Anyone who has bought the product should not eat it, the FSA said.
‘Please return the product to the store for a full refund (with or without a receipt),’ it said.
Meanwhile Karma Sauce Company LLC is recalling more than 50,000 bottles of Hot Ones brand Los Calientes Hot Sauce by Heatonist, including the Rojo and Verde flavors, because they could contain plastic.
The affected 5-ounce bottles, 1-gallon jugs and 4-gallon buckets are under a Class II recall, which means serious health consequences from consumption are unlikely, but there is still a potential for temporary or reversible effects.
