Some sunshine, gradual warmup before late week cold, snowflakes

An area of high pressure along the Eastern Seaboard will circulate milder air with a southerly flow on Sunday. Skies will be partly cloudy and temperatures will climb back toward 60 degrees.
A weak cold front will dip into the northern part of the state tonight, accompanied by an increase in clouds and a few light showers, pushing southeast of the area and washing out early Monday.

Sunshine will return Monday, as high pressure extends from the lower Great Lakes to the Southeast, with temperatures reaching the low 60s, 10 degrees above normal. A strong storm system will track from the Plains to the Great Lakes, accompanied by rain and strong storms in the midsection of the country. A period of rain will reach Ohio late Monday night and taper off Tuesday afternoon, with mild conditions continuing.

The intensifying storm will usher in a major pattern change midweek, when a secondary upper low and cold pool develop. Increasingly windy and wet conditions will occur Wednesday, with another round of showers and a few storms, followed by falling temperatures.

Much colder air drawn into the Eastern part of the country later in the week, resulting in a change to some wet snow late Thursday and Friday that could result in the first light accumulation, as temperatures hold in the 30s.
