Chet Hanks, son of actor Tom Hanks, jokingly coined the phrase “White Boy Summer” with a song in 2021. Since then, it has become a slogan for white supremacists and other hate groups, calling for the younger Hanks to speak out and condemn any hate associated with the phrase.
