Johnstown man charged with sex crimes
JOHNSTOWN, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- A Johnstown man is accused of having sexual contact with a male under the age of 17. Joseph Green, 39, faces multiple felony charges.
According to troopers, Green was arrested on Monday at 7:24 p.m. after troopers received a report of sexual abuse. Troopers said Green allegedly had sexual contact with a male under the age of 17 over several years in Montgomery and Otsego Counties.
He was charged with:
- Criminal Sexual Act in the second-degree, a class D felony
- Attempted Criminal Sexual Act in the second-degree, a class E attempted felony
- Forcible Touching, a class A misdemeanor
- Act in Manner Injure Child Less Than 17, a class A misdemeanor
After his arrest, he was remanded to the Montgomery County Jail on a $5,000 cash bail or a $25,000 bond. The state police however are still investigating the case against Green.
