Troy swears in five new officers
TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Troy City Council unanimously agreed to a new contract term with the union that represents Troy police officers. Mayor Carmella Mantello made the announcement during the police department's swearing in ceremony at city hall on Thursday.
The city council agreed to the new contract term with the Police Command Officer’s Association. Community members and local leaders recognized the hard work and accomplishments of the five new officers. They also thanked the officers for the commitment they are making to the Troy community.
The new officers will now begin their training at the Zone 5 Regional Law Enforcement Academy in Schenectady.
