Amsterdam DPW awarded traffic safety supplies

AMSTERDAM, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The city of Amsterdam Department of Public Works is receiving new work zone safety supplies from the state. The department will receive over $1,900 in equipment, including cones, vests, work zone signs, and slow-stop paddles.

Over 75 municipalities applied for the program, and Amsterdam was one of 30 municipalities to receive the supplies.

The grant which funded the award comes from the governor's Traffic Safety Committee.
