Pedestrian in fatal Guilderland crash identified
GUILDERLAND, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Guilderland Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a pedestrian that took place on Thursday night. The crash occurred around 6:41 p.m. near Western Avenue and Lawton Terrace.
Officers arriving at the scene found a man who had been struck by a car. The victim, identified as Timothy D. Gapp, of Guilderland, was taken to Albany Medical Center by Guilderland EMS, where he was later declared dead.
Police stated the driver in the incident has fully cooperated with the ongoing investigation. Anyone who witnessed the crash or who may have relevant information is asked to call the Guilderland Police Department at (518)356-1501.
