So far this winter, it’s not the amount of snow but the frequency of storms that’s created problems with rock salt in Troy. Whether it’s one inch or a foot, the plows and salt have to come out.

4. Patrol car crashes in Mayfield on way to snowmobile accident
A Fulton County Sheriff’s Office patrol car was totaled on Tuesday near Sunoco on Route 30 in Mayfield. Sheriff Richard Giardino said the deputy was responding to a snowmobile accident when the crash happened.
5. Man convicted in fatal boat crash released from prison
The man convicted of killing an 8-year-old girl with his boat on Lake George is no longer in prison.
