UAlbany to manage College of Saint Rose student records
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Records of students from the closed College of Saint Rose will be handled by the University at Albany moving forward, the school announced on Wednesday. The two colleges agreed to the document migration in May 2024.
UAlbany will maintain Saint Rose's records in perpetuity, allowing students to access their official transcripts and previous coursework. Former students and alumni can submit requests for documents, degree and enrollment verifications, and diploma replacements effective immediately.
"The College of Saint Rose had a long and distinguished history in the Capital Region, and we were saddened by the loss of a valued and trusted partner in higher education," said Michael Christakis, UAlbany's Vice President for Student Affairs and Enrollment. "UAlbany is committed to preserving Saint Rose’s academic legacy and continuing its efforts to support critical programs that recognize the need for trained professionals in nursing, education and more."
The transfer process took around nine months to complete. Former Saint Rose students can place information orders online through the University at Albany website.
