SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (NEWS10) - Married for almost 70 years, the Paulsens met in their youth at a dance in Albany. From their first meeting to now, the duo has been dancing through life together. The couple currently resides at Kingsway Community in Schenectady.

"Well, I don't like motorcycles. He said that's alright, next time I'll pick you up in a truck," said Joann.
"I would borrow one of my brothers' cars and that's how we got together," said Carl.
Dr. Carl Paulsen is a retired orthopedic surgeon. He went to Union College and did part of his training with the military. Joann Paulsen is a graduate of the Academy of the Holy Names and the College of St. Rose.
