Albany man sentenced to 15 years on cocaine charges
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Albany County District Attorney's Office announced that 48-year-old Justin Bouldin was sentenced in a drug case on Thursday before Judge William Little. The Albany man will serve 15 years in state prison and five years of probation following his release.
On February 10, 2024, Albany County Sheriff's deputies engaged Bouldin in a car chase after he fled a traffic stop near Sherman Street and Lexington Avenue in Albany. He was taken into custody after hitting a parked car during the pursuit.
In the ensuing investigation, Bouldin was found to have nearly a pound of cocaine and a digital scale with him. He was convicted in December 2024 of first-degree and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, class A-1 and B felonies respectively.
"I'd like to thank the Albany County Sheriff's Office for the outstanding work they did in this case. Public safety is a multifaceted effort, which includes keeping harmful drugs out of the community," said Albany County Assistant District Attorney Ryan Carty. "Those on the front lines of that effort should be commended for their commitment to the wellbeing of Albany County."
