Greene County mourns loss of Undersheriff, fire chief
CATSKILL, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Greene County is mourning the loss of Undersheriff Michael Overbaugh, who passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning. Overbaugh also served as the Kiskatom Fire Department Chief at the time of his passing.
The fire department first shared his passing through an announcement on Facebook Thursday. According to the department, he was a member of the department for 40 years but was a friend to all.

"Not only was he our chief and 40-year life member of our department, but he was our mentor and friend. We cannot portray the sadness and loss all of our members feel right now."
The Greene County Sheriff's Office echoed the fire department's sentiments.
