Early morning fire in Albany under investigation
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Authorities are currently investigating a fire that broke out early Saturday morning in Albany, according to the city's fire department. The fire occurred at 69 Second Avenue between Krank Street and Leonard Street.
The Albany Fire Department was dispatched to the scene of the fire at about 5:02 a.m. The crews arrived about five minutes later to a small fire in the second floor apartment of the building. The fire was under control in about 20 minutes, according to the department.
Two occupants have been temporarily displaced as a result of the fire, according to the chief. No injuries were reported. The Northeastern New York Chapter of the American Red Cross reportedly provided emergency aid to the displaced individuals.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, the Albany Fire Department chief told NEWS10.
