Razer, Minecraft team up for creepy Creeper PC peripherals
Razer has teamed up with Microsoft’s Minecraft for a lineup of PC peripherals that evoke the game’s iconic Creeper and add in-game items to sweeten the deal.
There’s nothing particularly new here, just a “reskin” of existing Razer peripherals. They include the new $169.99 Razer BlackWidow V4 X Minecraft Edition keyboard, the $99.99 Razer Kraken V4 X Minecraft Edition headset, the $59.99 Razer Cobra Minecraft Edition mouse, and the Razer Gigantus V2 M Minecraft Edition. The latter product doesn’t appear to be available for sale yet, though the plain Gigantus V2 mat itself is $29.99.
You have to appreciate the effort. The Razer Cobra Minecraft Edition especially shines, with its close approximation to a real Creeper. (The face has been squished on to just one button, however.

The Cobra will come with an in-game item, the Overgrown Arm.
The Creeper-fied Gigantus mouse pad certainly looks like something your Minecraft-obsessive fifth-grader would die to have. It too comes with the Overgrown Arm item.
Razer has done a pretty decent job of incorporating the Minecraft iconography onto its peripherals. There doesn’t appear to be any additional functionality bult into the new BlackWidow V4 X, but the Creeper face appears in a few places, and it’s done well, looking a bit like a pinball back panel.
The BlackWidow keyboard also comes in a Fortnite Edition, which implies that Razer would be open to future collaboration with game makers.

The BlackWidow keyboard comes with the Ender Dragon Shawl, to add a bit of in-game bling to your character.
Razer’s Kraken is one of my favorites of the bunch, as it makes the Creeper look like the menace that it is. It too adds an option to get the Ender Dragon Shawl.
