It was a terrific week of competition in London, headlined by three sizzling British records from Angharad Evans and Freya Colbert. With selection on the line for this summer's European Championships and Commonwealth Games, there was plenty of action for Steve and Bob to discuss.
Angharad Evans smashed her second British Record of the week as she crashed through the 1:05 barrier with an exceptional 100m breaststroke swim. It was the highlight of a fast and furious final night which delivered a number of qualifying swims. Here’s a selection update.
Abbie Wood was the standout performer on the penultimate night of swimming in London as she carved a huge chunk off her 200IM best time to confirm an individual spot for her at the Euros, while the England and Scotland nomination lists continued to swell beyond their maximum team sizes.

It was a day characterised by dominant wins in London, as Amalie Blocksidge, Max Litchfield and Amalie Smith blew away their respective competition to book their places in this summer’s major meets. There was greater drama elsewhere as plenty of swimmers out their hands up for team selections.
The 2026 Aquatics GB Swimming Championships kicked off with a bang in London, as swimmers sought places on teams for this summer’s major competitions and James Guy pulled out a memorable 400 freestyle performance that took us back a decade.
