'They’re really exposing themselves': Ex-Dem slams old party as ‘twisted’ ‘dictators’
During a Wednesday night appearance on Fox News, former Democratic congresswoman turned Trump enthusiast Tulsi Gabbard launched a tirade of attacks on her former party, labeling them generally as ‘dictators’ with a ‘twisted’ mindset.
The explosive comments from the former Democratic representative from Hawaii came Wednesday during a discussion about Hurricane Milton when host Jessie Watters asked about “misinformation” from Democrats.
“This misinformation B.S. which they’re trafficking in all day – they talk about that more than they talk about the hurricane – what’s that all about?" Watters said as the segment began.
“They’re really exposing themselves, Jessie,” Gabbard said. “They claim to be defenders of democracy but they’re revealing themselves over and over again to be dictators.”

She continued: “That’s what we’re seeing. They see themselves like dictators do, as the country. And anyone who dares to criticize them is therefore committing a crime, or traitorous, or disloyal to the country. This is how twisted their mindset is, and quite frankly, how dangerous it is.”
Gabbard, who according to media reports has taken a prominent role in former President Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign and helped him prepare for his September debate against Vice President Kamala Harris, later claimed that members of her former party “don’t actually care about the Constitution, or free speech or the First Amendment.”
She concluded by saying that Democrats are more worried about “the American people criticizing them when they are failing to fulfill” what she called their responsibility to care for people “in their greatest time of need.”
“It is infuriating to see,” she said before launching into an anecdote about “our fellow Americans drinking water from a polluted lake in western North Carolina because they have no water.”
“They’re like, 'Screw $750 — bring me clean water,” she said repeating a false claim spread by the GOP that FEMA is offering $750 per person in disaster areas.
