Kevin Yu took home the title to become a PGA Tour winner in his 56th start. He posted a final round 5-under 67 to get to 23-under overall. That score forced a playoff with Beau Hossler. It only took one extra hole for him to birdie and claim the victory.
He took home $1.368 million and earned 500 FedEx Cup points to jump 36 spots to No. 60 in the FedEx Cup standings. Yu’s victory earned him a spot in Hawaii to start 2025 at The Sentry.
His ranking could also mean he is in the next two elevated events, the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am and the Genesis Invitational. However, he must stay at No. 60 or higher to earn those two starts.
Hossler’s solo second finish saw him take home $828,400.
Keith Mitchell’s heartbreaking bogey on 18 cost him a spot in the playoffs and a shot at his second career PGA Tour victory. He tied with Lucas Glover at 22-overall and won $448,400. However, that finish did help the former Georgia Bulldog in the standings as he moved up to No. 66.
Six events are left in the FedEx Cup Fall series, so things are heating up for those battling for status in 2025.
