Destiny 2: How To Get The Title (Guardian Games 2022 SMG)
Guardian Games 2022 is officially live in Destiny 2, and The Title is a new Legendary SMG reward that players can earn during the event. The Title is a new Void SMG with an Aggressive Frame, meaning it dishes out high damage in exchange for high recoil. The new weapon also has two Origin Traits that inherently drop with all rolls, one of them being the Hakke Breach Armaments that players were introduced to at the launch of The Witch Queen expansion, and the second is Classy Contender.
Classy Contender is a brand new Origin Trait that synergizes perfectly with any Void 3.0 build in Destiny 2, making it the perfect energy weapon for any Titan, Hunter, or Warlock. With the Classy Contender Origin Trait active, final blows with The Title will grant class ability energy. The Title is perfect for Guardians who like to continuously "run and gun" their way through any activity, and The Title can deal even more damage with Volatile Rounds and many of its perks.
Before The Title can be earned, all players who participate in the Guardian Games will receive an introductory quest from Eva Levante called Best In Class. The Best In Class quest is meant to help players familiarize or refamiliarize themselves with the Guardian Games procedures before they really dive into everything that is available. Once players have completed the Guardian Games quest, they'll get Destiny 2's new SMG as a reward. Afterward, players can turn in Gold and Platinum Medallions in the Tower to receive additional rolls for The Title.
The Title has a lot of great options for rolls in both its third and fourth columns, making it a great weapon to use in both PvP and PvE activities. Additionally, with the Shayura's Wrath SMG receiving a nerf in Season 17, The Title seems like it will quickly take the place of players who engage in PvP activities frequently. These are the best perks for The Title that players should be keeping an eye out for:
- Extended Barrel (PvP), Corkscrew Rifling, Smallbore
- High-Caliber Rounds (PvP), Flared Magwell (PvP), Appended Mag (PvE), Extended Mag (PvE)
- Dynamic Sway Reduction (PvP), Perpetual Motion, Stats For All, Threat Detector (PvE), Grave Robber (PvE)
- One For All (PvE), Vorpal Weapon, Surrounded (PvE), Swashbuckler
The God Rolls for The Title in Destiny 2 are a bit more situational than most weapons in the game, but players should definitely keep an eye out for any Stats For All/One For All rolls, as well as any roll that has Swashbuckler with either Dynamic Sway Reduction or Perpetual Motion. Respectively, these are the PvE and PvP rolls that can be a staple for any Void loadout, but other perks such as Threat Detector, Vorpal Weapon, and Surrounded are all solid options as well since players don't have to do anything to activate the effects of these perks.
Destiny 2 is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia platforms.
