Keira Knightley’s Super-Rare Public Appearance Shows She’s Forever a Chanel It-Girl

Keira Knightley is many things: a mom of two, a two-time Oscar-nominated actress, and of course, a perpetual it-girl for Chanel. Seriously, chances are when you think about Knightley, one or two of her Chanel campaigns come to mind, making her synonymous with the brand. While the beloved star has mostly stayed away from the spotlight for a year, she’s making waves in June 2024. We first dropped our jaws at the Erdem gown she wore last week, and now, she’s showing off her angelic side for Chanel.

In case you missed it, on June 25, 2024, Knightley attended the Chanel Haute Couture Fall/Winter 2024-2025 show as part of Paris Fashion Week. And yes, she arrived in a flowing Chanel gown. You can see the photos of her super-rare red carpet appearance below:

As you can see in the photos, Knightley looked angelic as she wowed in this sheer white gown from Chanel, which she paired with white and black heels and a stylish updo. She actually spoke about this hypnotic look to Vogue, saying, “I love this dress, and it was so perfect for the ballet and the opera. “I love how comfortable it is, the pockets, and how it moves. I could get married again in it!” (She actually wore a Chanel gown for her wedding, so that totally checks out).

Now, along with making a shocking red carpet appearance so soon after the Erdem one, she’s reminding everyone she’s the forever Chanel it-girl. For those who don’t know, Knightley actually first appeared for Chanel back in 2007, when she was teased as the face of Coco Mademoiselle perfume, and since then, she’s appeared in numerous ads and worn many of their coveted looks.

In a previous interview with The Talks, Knightley discussed how she’s stopped caring about the random backlash as she’s gotten older, focusing on doing what makes her happy (including rocking Chanel whenever she can).

She said, “I learned you can say nothing, you can be perfectly smiling, wearing a perfectly nice dress at the opening of a charity and people can still despise you for it.”
