“Toy Liquidators” Salesman Smuggled Gun Parts in Toys

Michael John Suppes, 45, was arrested after he was pulled over on Interstate 25 with 50 illegal AR-15s and AK-47s he had agreed to sell to undercover agents who claimed they planned to smuggle the weapons into Mexico, according to a federal indictment filed Tuesday, 9 News reported.

The FBI had been on his tail for some time. An FBI sting traced parts discovered hidden in remote control toys. The investigation, which included checking out activities on stamps.com led to Suppes address. Agents cut a deal with Suppes for purchasing some of his weapons and parts. They put a trace on him and arrested him in his car as he was making his delivery. More from Channel 9 news:
