End of Watch: Sgt. Vance

Officer Jeffrey, 54, joined HPD in December of 1990 and was assigned to the Major Offenders Division for almost 13 years. He was shot in the line of duty 20 Sept.

Sgt. Michael Vance, 49, was also shot while serving the felony warrant. He remains in stable condition at a Houston hospital. Sgt. Vance joined HPD in June of 1998 and has been in the Major Offenders Division for the past 2 years. Due to the undercover nature of Sgt. Vance’s assignment, HPD will not be releasing his department photo.
