Can Durov have 100 children? The doctor doubts it, and here's why
Tengrinews.kz - A Kazakh specialist in sperm donation Roman Bezrukov, an urologist-andrologist and surgeon at the Institute of Reproductive Medicine in Almaty, commented on Pavel Durov's statement that he is the "biological father of more than 100 children".
"This is a clear violation. It shouldn’t be like this. In Russia, only 30 children can be born from one sperm donor. I requested these data today. 30 families," said urologist-andrologist Roman Bezrukov.
The specialist does not rule out that Pavel Durov might have exaggerated his alleged "superpowers."
"If no one is monitoring this, why not? Actually, you’ll never get the information about how many children were born from him and who they are. If 30 children were born from him, he would have been stopped in Russia already. If it was all legal. It means, it wasn’t legal? Doctors don’t provide such information. He probably donated anonymously," Bezrukov speculated.
The specialist also answered how much sperm should be donated to bring 100 children into the world.
"Go ahead, pass once a week for 5 years, and that’s it. In general, he can claim to have fathered a thousand children, but I don’t really believe him," summed up Roman Bezrukov.
It should be noted that, according to Kazakhstani legislation, a maximum of 10 children can be born from one sperm donor. In the USA, the limit is 12 children. In Europe, it ranges from 5 to 25, depending on the population.
