Tien Shan brown bears captured on camera trap in Kazakhstan
The Forestry and Wildlife Committee posted the video on their Instagram page.
“Tien Shan brown bears were captured on a trail camera in the Zhongar-Alatau National Park,” states the post.

The committee also recalled that the Tien Shan brown bear is listed in the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species and the Red List of Kazakhstan. The bear is classified as a mammal and is found in a reserve at an altitude of 1,500-3,500 meters above sea level. The bear’s body length ranges from 1.5 to 2.2 meters, and it weighs between 135-200 kilograms.
In early spring 2024, snow leopards were also caught on a trial camera in a nature park in the Almaty region. See the images by clicking the link.
Earlier, the Institute of Zoology of the Republic of Kazakhstan has reported an interesting discovery. During an expedition in the Kyzylkum desert, staff from the arachnology laboratory managed to find two previously unknown species of spiders on Mount Karamola.
