Aktau residents volunteer to donate blood to plane crash survivors

Tengrinews.kz - Residents of Aktau have stepped forward to help survivors of the recent plane crash by donating blood.

Aktau’s local blood center has seen a steady stream of residents arriving to donate blood for the injured passengers.

Despite the response, there remains a need for more donations. Authorities are urging those who can donate to visit the Regional Blood Center at 34a microdistrict in Aktau.

Potential donors are advised to avoid consuming fatty foods, coffee, or other similar items in the morning before donating. Donations are requested to be made today, preferably before 4 P.M.

The first reports that the plane flying from Baku to Grozny requested an emergency landing in Aktau appeared at 11:20 A.M.

According to the press service of the Grozny airport, the reason for the change in route was thick fog. The plane was first redirected to Makhachkala, and then to Aktau.

The passenger list of the Azerbaijan Airlines plane has been published.
