Meteorologists issue warning for Almaty residents

Tengrinews.kz - Meteorologists from Kazhydromet have issued a warning for Almaty residents.

"On January 17, 2025, unfavorable meteorological conditions for air pollution are expected in Almaty," the statement reads.

Unfavorable meteorological conditions refer to a combination of short-term weather factors (calm, light wind, fog, inversion) that contribute to the accumulation of harmful pollutants in the lower layers of the atmosphere.
On January 17, Almaty is expected to experience partly cloudy skies with no precipitation. The southwest wind will blow at 2-7 m/s. The temperature will range from -2 to -4°C at night and 3-5°C during the day.
Previously, Kazhydromet presented the weather forecast for Almaty for January 17 to 19.
