Metrics, tips, features: what's new on Instagram
Creators will now be able to better understand which videos resonate with their audience. For example, a new metric called View Rate has been introduced, which shows how many people continue watching the video after the first three seconds. Instagram emphasizes that these few seconds are crucial in determining whether you will retain the viewer.

Another new metric is Views Over Time. This helps creators track how their videos accumulate views compared to their usual performance. Additionally, it is possible to view statistics separately for followers and random viewers.
Tips from Instagram
Instagram is now not only providing statistics but also offering useful advice to creators. If your videos start gaining more or fewer views than usual, the platform will analyze the reason and suggest ways to improve.
For example, if one of your videos goes viral, Instagram might encourage you to create more similar content: "This video performed exceptionally well! It received 20% more views than your recent uploads. Try making something in the same style."
According to TechCrunch, Instagram has also started attracting TikTok creators by offering collaboration opportunities and support in growing their communities.
Although TikTok is back online in the U.S. after a 12-hour outage, it remains unavailable in app stores, giving competitors like Instagram a chance to capture its audience.
