Tokayev was briefed on the crime situation in Kazakhstan

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev was briefed on the crime situation in the country and the implementation of the "Law and Order" principle by the internal affairs agencies.
The President was informed that as a result of the comprehensive measures taken last year, the number of crimes in the country decreased by more than 12.7 thousand. In recent years, there has been a significant decrease in the level of criminal manifestations, including such especially dangerous crimes as murders, robberies, robberies and thefts.
Along with this, thanks to the introduction of modern investigation methods, the detection rate for all categories of criminal offenses has improved.
Erzhan Sadenov spoke about the results of the work to find criminals. In 2024, the police detained 1949 wanted persons.

"The Head of State was briefed on the progress of his instructions to combat organized, cyber and drug crime, as well as to prevent offenses. In particular, 264 people are being held criminally liable for participating in organized crime groups. Over 12 months, about 7500 Internet resources containing information about drug distribution were identified, almost 22 tons of drugs were prevented from entering circulation, and 64 drug labs were liquidated. 65 million calls from Internet fraudsters were blocked. 48 SIM-box devices for number substitution were identified. Fraudsters were prevented from withdrawing more than 2 billion tenge from the country," the Akorda press service noted.

The minister also informed the President about measures to protect the rights of minors, strengthen migration control, ensure road safety, and improve the penal system.

"Following the meeting, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev gave a number of instructions to further improve the level of law and order and public safety in the country," the press service of Akorda said in a statement.
