According to operational data from the Kazakhstan National Data Center IGR RK, an earthquake occurred in Kyrgyzstan on March 12 at 8:11 a.m. Astana time.
The magnitude of the tremors was 5.1.
According to the Seismology Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Kyrgyzstan, the earthquake's epicenter was located 2 kilometers west of the village of Shark.
The earthquake intensity in Kyrgyz settlements was recorded as follows:
Osh city – around 5 points;
Villages of Shark, Tashtak, Kyzyl-Kyshtak, Nariman, and Kyrgyz-Chek – around 5 points;Kara-Suu village – 4 points.
It is worth noting that earlier, during the night of March 12, an earthquake occurred in the Turkestan region of Kazakhstan. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, it was felt at 3 points in Saryagash.
