In the footage, the woman - dressed in a traditional Kazakh costume - is seen soaring above the Kapchagay Reservoir on a flyboard while proudly holding the flag of Kazakhstan. Flyboarding is an extreme water sport that uses a device connected to a jet ski to shoot powerful jets of water through boots, allowing the rider to hover up to 15 meters above the surface. Invented by French athlete Franky Zapata in 2011, the sport has since gained global popularity, including in Kazakhstan.
