Trump Wants to Untag His Time Cover
We’ve all been there — you get tagged in a friend’s photo dump on Instagram only to discover you were captured at a less-than-flattering angle, and now it’s on the internet for all to see. It sounds like Trump went through this exact experience Tuesday morning, except instead of an Instagram dump, it was the cover of Time magazine. Naturally, he took to Truth Social to level his complaints about the “super bad picture” that appeared on Time’s cover this week.

Trump was, of course, totally fine with the content of the story, which lauded his ceasefire deal as a “triumph” and a “signature achievement” of his second term in office. But the photo the magazine used of him was, apparently, “the Worst of All Time.” “They ‘disappeared’ my hair, and then had something floating on top of my head that looked like a floating crown, but an extremely small one,” he said, describing, well, what his hair looks like. Relatably, Trump also took issue with the angle of the photo, saying he “never liked taking pictures from underneath angles.” “This is a super bad picture, and deserves to be called out,” he said. Say what you will, but the camera doesn’t lie, sweetie!
This isn’t the first time Trump has gone to war with a publication for using what he deems a bad photo of himself. Back in 2017, he took aim at CNN over the cover of Unprecedented, a book about the 2016 election, calling the photo of him on it the “worst.” In 2020, he raged against a photo of himself taken outside the White House, which showed his hair blowing back in the wind and a distinct orange tan line around his face, calling it “fake news” and claiming it was “photoshopped, obviously.” Curiously, he didn’t seem to have any complaints about the glamour shot Time used for his “Person of the Year” cover last year, or the equally flattering one the magazine published earlier this year about his first 100 days in office. I guess he was having a better hair day?
