Last month, Tara Reid was hospitalized after allegedly being drugged at a hotel bar just outside of Chicago. In a video published by TMZ, Reid could be seen struggling to remain upright in a wheelchair, at one point sliding halfway out of it to the floor while being transported through what appears to be the hotel lobby. Paramedics brought her to the hospital on a stretcher. On Wednesday, police told People that the hotel’s surveillance footage did not show evidence of anyone drugging Reid, but she maintains that she was drugged.

At the time of the incident, per TMZ, Reid said she checked into the Hilton Doubletree in Rosemont, Illinois, late Saturday night and then went to the hotel bar. After ordering a glass of wine, she said, she went outside to smoke a cigarette, and when she came back, there was a napkin placed over her drink she said she hadn’t put there. She allegedly took off the napkin and drank from the glass and doesn’t remember anything after that before waking up in the hospital.

On Wednesday, the Rosemont Public Safety Department said in a statement that the video did not “show anyone tampering with or adding something to her drink.” Authorities maintain that no criminal act has been committed and that they are not investigating any suspects at the moment. They did confirm, however, “that a bartender covered her drink when she left the bar, which is standard practice for bartenders to do.”

Reid was not satisfied with this response. In a statement sent to People by her reps on Wednesday, she clarified: “Bottom line is no one ends up in the hospital incapacitated for over 8 hours after a drink.” The actress went on to claim that she remembered having a single drink and the next thing she knew, she woke up in the hospital and couldn’t remember anything about her night. She added that the “horrifying experience” has severely affected her mental health and that she’s had trouble sleeping wondering what happened to her.

“That was the scariest feeling I have ever felt,” she said. “I believe I was drugged. Something happened to me.”
