Watch live: Senate Democrats, small business owners discuss Trump tariffs

Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.) is holding a press conference Wednesday morning to discuss President Trump's sweeping tariffs on foreign trading partners as the Supreme Court prepares to weigh the legality of Trump's trade moves.

Markey, the ranking member of the Senate Small Business and Entrepreneurship Committee, will be joined by a group of his Democratic colleagues and small business owners, who stand to be impacted by the outcome of the high court's decision.

Their remarks also come as the government shutdown hit a record 36 days.
