Tottenham Hotspur will look to almost double the number of non-footballing events held at their stadium each year, in a bid to ‘support the club’s growth plans’ and increase ‘socio-economic benefits’ to the surrouding area.
Since opening its doors in 2019, the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has quickly become one of the most impressive venues in world football, and it has the commercial success to boot.
Spurs are now one of the most profitable clubs around, according to Deloitte facts and figures, and a large part of that is down to the stadium and the way Daniel Levy and the board choose to use it.
When Ange Postecoglou‘s men aren’t using the ground for matches, the venue plays host to musical events and other sporting events such as boxing and NFL games.

Spurs aim to increase non-football events at home stadium
The club has permission to hold 16 non-football events in a year, but there are are now plans to do even more in the coming years.
As per a tweet from Lilywhite Rose, an image is seen of a sign with plenty of information on the proposals.
It reads: “We should like to increase the number of events at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to support the club’s growth plans and drive greater socio-economic benefits to the local economy. We currently have permission for 16 non-football major events per year. This enables us to host concerts, rugby, boxing, and NFL with a capacity exceeding 10,000 spectators.
“We should like to increase this to 30 non-football major events per year. Whilst we do not envisage hosting 30 events each year, we believe it is important to have the flexibility to do so.”
The statement adds that certain stipulations have been added to the proposal, including a limit of no more than two boxing events per year, no more than four consecutive events at any given time, and no more than five events within a week.
Spurs Web Opinion
If we are not playing football on any given day or night, then it makes perfect sense to fill the stadium and bring in more money. We are in such a strong financial position right now, and this is only going to improve that.
