Pundit already knows the perfect man to replace Ange Postecoglou at Spurs

Ange Postecoglou successor is in Spurs’ mind

While Tottenham may not be considering sacking Ange Postecoglou at this moment in time, it is perhaps not outlandish to think that the club will have made some contingency plans in the event that the Australian is not able to turn things around.

It was reported a few days ago that one man who the Spurs hierarchy admires is Brentford boss Thomas Frank, with the Lilywhites alleged to have previously explored a move for him.

It was explained that although Frank is wanted by West Ham, the Dane would be ready to jump at the chance to manage Tottenham.

Jan Molby reacts to Thomas Frank to Spurs rumours

Molby is convinced that his compatriot would be a perfect fit for Tottenham, given the squad which has been assembled at N17.

The former Swansea boss insisted that Frank is the man to get the best out of the Spurs attackers who are underperforming at the moment.

When asked if the Bees head coach has what it takes to be a hit at N17, Molby told Viaplay (as relayed by Tipsbladet): “I no longer have any doubts – he is the right man for Tottenham. The squad they have suits Thomas Frank 100%.

“Look at the players and the way Thomas Frank plays – I think it’s perfect. All the offensive quality he has at Brentford, he gets a lot out of it.

“At Tottenham, he will have even better attacking qualities if he gets there so try to think what he can get out of those boys. I would go so far as to say that even Timo Werner would be able to get going again.”

Spurs not thinking about replacing Postecoglou

While speculation will continue to run rife in the media about Postecoglou’s future, we have heard from a number of reliable journalists that Tottenham are not thinking about sacking the 59-year-old.

The latest to make that claim was David Ornstein, who revealed recently that his sources at Spurs have made it clear that the club’s hierarchy have no intention of pulling the plug on this project.

According to Ornstein, Tottenham see this as a long-term endeavour and continue to believe that Postecoglou is the right man to get the club challenging for silverware.
