‘I feel ready’ – Yang Min-hyeok reveals his goal for the season at Spurs
Yang Min-hyeok is raring to get started with his Tottenham Hotspur journey and the winger has now shared his goal for this season, which will excite Spurs fans.
Yang Min-hyeok has linked up with the Spurs squad
Yang has had an outstanding debut season in the K-League and arrives at Hotspur Way full of confidence.
However, the winger will undoubtedly have a steep learning curve, given the size of the jump he is making, and might have to bide his time before he is ready to get minutes under his belt.
The 18-year-old is certainly confident that he can prove his worth to Ange Postecoglou and is keen to show what he can do on the biggest stage.
Yang is ready for his Spurs challenge
The South Korean has been speaking to the media back in his home country before flying to London and he admitted that he is excited about the challenge that awaits him at Tottenham.
The winger said ahead of his move (via Joel Kim): “Personally, I feel ready, and I’ll work even harder to show my best performance. I hope fans will continue to cheer for me.
“While I haven’t shown much yet, I’ll do my best, and I’m excited for this new chapter at Tottenham. I look forward to learning from senior players there and working hard to contribute to the team.”
Yang is hopeful that he can remain fit and contribute with goals and assists for his new side.
When asked about his goals for the season, the youngster said: “My goal is to complete the remainder of the season without injuries, participate in matches, and contribute to the team with goals or assists. I haven’t set specific personal goals yet.”
Tottenham need all the help they can get
Given the injury issues Spurs have had in their forward line, Postecoglou has been struggling for options of late. While Yang might be ready to start games immediately for the Lilywhites, having another body through the door would certainly ease the burden on the Spurs head coach.
We might see the teenager get his opportunities in the Europa League should he impress in his first few training sessions.
