25-year-old’s stellar season has piqued interest of PL clubs

Omar Marmoush caught the eye with his impressive displays for Eintracht Frankfurt last season, but the centre-forward has taken his game to a different level this campaign.

The Egyptian has found the back of the net 18 times this season while also registering another 12 assists, arguably being the one of the best players in the German top-flight so far this season.

Predictably, this has reportedly attracted plenty of Premier League interest, with Tottenham named as one of the clubs keeping an eye on Marmoush.

Arsenal could move into pole position to land Omar Marmoush

However, GiveMeSport have now claimed that Arsenal could be set to leapfrog other suitors and move to the front of the queue to land Marmoush.

The report states that there is a ‘good chance’ that the versatile forward, who can also operate in either flank, could end up in England by the end of this transfer window.

Mikel Arteta is said to be keen on adding more firepower to his frontline and has allegedly identified the Frankfurt star as a good fit, with the Gunners potentially set to become frontrunners to land the player over the coming weeks.

The report makes no mention of Tottenham‘s interest, naming Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan are as the sides providing competition for the striker’s signature.

Eintracht Frankfurt’s stance regarding Marmoush revealed

GiveMeSport claim that Frankfurt are eager to keep their talisman at the club until the end of the season and are expected to hold out for £50m.

They are wary of letting the centre-forward leave mid-season as they believe it could jeopardise their chances of qualifying for the Champions League.

However, the Bundesliga side realise that Marmoush’s head could be turned if a big club such as Arsenal submit an offer for him.

As a result, Frankfurt are said to have begun identifying potential replacements for the former Wolfsburg man as they fear that he could leave before the end of this month.
