Tottenham Hotspur are now edging closer to an interesting Premier League record that was set by Manchester United during Sir Alex Ferguson’s spell in charge.

No one would dispute that Spurs are the most entertaining team to watch across the Premier League for most neutrals.

That is demonstrated by the fact that Tottenham are the second-highest scorers in the Premier League so far this season, with 42 goals in 20 matches, despite languishing in 12th place in the table.

However, no Spurs fan will have been particularly entertained by the side’s performances over the last couple of months as they consistently give away cheap goals and struggle to string wins together.

TBR Football have now revealed that Spurs are edging closer to setting a new Premier League record for most successive matches without a 0-0 draw.

That record is currently held by Man Utd, who went 114 games without a scoreless draw under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Tottenham have not had a goalless draw under Ange Postecoglou and even for a while before it, with the Lilywhites now having played 101 games without being involved in a 0-0 result.

That means that the North London club are currently just 13 away from setting a new Premier League record.

Spurs fans are desperate for the side to string wins together

There is no doubt that Tottenham fans were desperate to see the side playing attacking football after enduring Jose Mourinho, Nuno Espirito Santo and Antonio Conte.

However, most supporters are now at a stage where they would not mind a couple of scruffy 1-0 wins to get back on track and build some momentum.

Unfortunately, Spurs do not do smash-and-grab wins under Postecoglou and they usually have to dominate large periods of matches to come away with three points.
