Tottenham Hotspur have identified their top central midfield targets and have now found out how much Nicolo Fagioli would set them back in January.

While most of the transfer speculation about Tottenham over the last few weeks has been regarding forwards and centre-backs, we are now starting to see a few outlets suggest that the Lilywhites are also looking for reinforcements in central midfield.
Tottenham currently have the likes of Yves Bissouma, Pape Sarr, Rodrigo Bentancur, and Lucas Bergvall to choose from in the midfield pivot role.
CaughtOffside have now become the latest publication to report that the North Londoners are indeed looking all around Europe for a central midfielder.

This latest report backs up what we have been hearing over recent weeks regarding Tottenham’s interest in Inter Milan’s Davide Frattesi and about the club considering signing Johnny Cardoso from Real Betis in January rather than wait to activate their option to buy in the summer.
It is explained that the other name on Spurs‘ radar is Nicolo Fagioli, who could be a more economical option than the other two.
The report claims that Fagioli is no longer in Thiago Motta’s plans as the Juve boss does not see him as a good fit for his system.
As a result, the Bianconeri are allegedly willing to sell their academy graduate for just around €25m (£21m), which is said to be just around half of what Inter want for Frattesi.

However, just because the Juventus midfielder is inexpensive, does not mean that signing him will be straightforward for Spurs.
Postecoglou’s men are expected to face plenty of competition for Fagioli, who is also on the radars of Man City, Aston Villa, Fulham, Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest, according to TBR Football.
In fact, it was previously reported in the Italian press that the Eagles have already opened talks over a deal for the Italy international.
