Antonin Kinsky’s agent has lifted the lid on Antonin Kinsky’s move from Slavia Prague to Tottenham came about, and the intense negotiations that took place between the two clubs.

The most interesting aspect of the Kinsky deal was that not a single journalist or outlet caught wind of the deal before a full agreement had been reached and the goalkeeper had flown to London for a medical.
The negotiations had been conducted in secrecy, with the two clubs and the agents involved somehow managing to keep any information from leaking to the media.
By the evidence of the 21-year-old’s first game for Spurs, it seems to be an extremely astute piece of business from the Lilywhites. According to reports, Tottenham appear to have secured one of the best young goalkeeping talents in world football.

The deal appeared to come out of nowhere, but that does not mean that negotiations were not difficult, with Kinsky‘s agent Viktor Kolar revealing that the talks went on for two full days.
He revealed that both Levy and Tottenham’s technical director Johan Lange flew to Prague on New Year’s Day – the very day the transfer window opened.
Kolar told The Telegraph: “Our team was still sitting at a petrol station in Prague until almost 10 pm of Dec 31, because everything was closed on New Year’s Eve and the subsequent development was that on Jan 1, Daniel Levy flew in himself and the two-day negotiations in Prague began. He had Johann Lange with him.
“The negotiations were intense, stretching late into the night. But it worked and I’m happy about that. It was a beautiful test to see if people and organisations this dominant can find their way to each other.
“Tottenham trusted Kinsky, and the whole team of people in that recruitment department, which includes chief scout Rob Mackenzie and his 11 people, so they agreed on Toni. They all raised their hand and voted from zero to 10 for him.”
Petr Cech played a role in Kinsky’s Spurs move
Kolar revealed that his client spoke to a number of people before making his decision to move to N17, with Chelsea legend Pet Cech being one of them.
He explained that Tottenham’s newest addition has a good relationship with the 42-year-old and regularly consults the Czech legend about the game.
Kinsky’s agent added: “He [Kinsky] also had the opportunity to talk about the transfer with people who are close to him and who have achieved something in life and sport, and one of them was Petr Cech, so we preferred this scenario. Toni can consult things with Petr and talk about the goalkeeping stuff.”
